Support Worker Position at SEN School in Winsford

**Position: Support Worker - SEN School (Winsford)**

**Key Responsibilities**: As a Support Worker in our SEN school, you will play a crucial role in providing individualised care and support to young adults with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Utilising AAC and assistive technology to facilitate communication and expression for students with communication challenges.
- Building strong rapport and fostering positive relationships with young adults, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
- Implementing tailored strategies to meet the complex needs of students, ensuring they receive the best possible support.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a holistic support plan for each student.
- Supporting students to achieve their academic and personal goals, celebrating their successes along the way.
- Inspiring creativity, independence, and self-confidence in our young adults through engaging activities and learning opportunities.
- Experience using AAC and assistive technology to aid communication.
- Proven background in working with young adults with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
- Previous experience in supporting individuals with complex needs.
- A genuine passion for working with young adults and a commitment to their growth and development.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience to overcome challenges and adapt to varying situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

To be considered for this position you will:

- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
- have satisfactory references
- have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
