**Job summary**:
The British Tourist Authority (BTA) is the national tourism agency and an accredited non-departmental public body funded by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and trades under the name of VisitBritain and VisitEngland (VB/VE).
VB/VE is a global organisation with 280+ people based in 16 different countries including the UK. VB/VE plays a unique role in building England’s tourism product, raising Britain’s profile worldwide, increasing the volume and value of tourism exports and developing Britain’s visitor economy.
VisitEngland aims to lead and enable a sustainable and resilient visitor economy in England, driving forward the industry and ensuring it continues to thrive.
As a result of the de Bois Review into destination management across England, the Department of Culture Media and Sport has provided a response from the government that will be implemented by VisitEngland. This response forms the basis of the needs and requirements of this role in supporting the Head of England Partner Engagement and a team of Regional Development Leads who are there to deliver and support the development of Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEPs) across England - and be the voice of VisitEngland in the regions. The role will sit within the Deputy England Directors team that is also responsible for England strategy and business planning.
