Simpson Judge Finance Recruitment are currently helping a Lancashire based business who have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Clerk to join our friendly finance team. The role will be office based and full time and you will join a established and robust team. Your lead and focus will be the Purchase Ledger aspect and be classed as high volume due to the approx. amount reaching 1000 invoices per calendar month
Main Duties:
Maintain all aspects of purchase ledger and to liaise with suppliers
Ensure correct authorisation and coding of purchase invoices
Reconcile supplier statements
Ensure suppliers are paid according to agreed terms
Carry out weekly cheque and BACs payment runs and posting of bank payments
and refunds when required
Run month end reports
Management of utilities for closed units
Process employee expenses
Send monthly CIS statements
Any additional accounting or administration duties as dictated by the demands of the business.
About You:
At least 2 year’s general accounts experience
Working knowledge of computerised accounting systems and Microsoft Excel or other
spreadsheet package
Numerate and articulate with good communication skills
Benefits including:
- Holidays - starting at 20 days plus bank holidays with an extra 1 day each year up to a maximum of 25. If they stay with us for 10 years they get an extra day taking the total to 26.
- Company pension scheme - employer contribution 5%
- Life assurance at 2 times annual salary if they join the Company pension scheme
Hours are 8:45am till 5:15pm M-F
