A fabulous not for profit organisation based just outside of Hitchin are looking for an experienced, engaging and people focused **Payroll Officer** to join their organisation on a part-time basis working 15 hours per week (flexi-hours available). As a key member of the organisations HR team, you will be responsible for the administration of the organisations payroll process.

As the **Payroll Officer**, you will be responsible for:

- The administration and processing of all new starter and leaver payroll status
- The delivery of all statutory returns to ensure that they are correctly processed by payroll
- Managing, administration and auditing payroll reports and solving any queries and discrepancies
- The management and administration of all absences in line with the organisation sickness policy
- Processing all statutory leave
- Management of the companies cycle to work scheme
- Reporting and highlighting any risk or issues with payroll with regards to areas such as absence, sickness and contracts
- To have experience within a similar role and either a HR or Payroll qualification
- Excellent knowledge and experience of managing an the end-to-end payroll process
- Knowledge and interest in not-for-profit environment would be preferable
- Experience of using MS-Office and HRIS
- Excellent time management, organisational and planning skills. With the ability to prioritise
- A flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands and peaks and troughs of payroll deadlines

Working 15 hours a week, you are able to work flexible working patterns and there is a possibility that this could become a Hybrid role. You will be based in just outside of Hitchin and you can expect to receive a salary of £11,500 (FTE £28,750 PA). Thisrole also comes with a great benefits package.
