**A large number of Subcontracts Specialists and Senior Subcontracts Specialists are required to work on an initial 12 month contract basis based in Aberdeen.**

**As the Subcontracts Specialist, you will have the ability to operate on an outside IR35 basis.**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reporting to the Subcontracts Team Lead, the Subcontracts Specialist will manage all sub-contract activities related to Capital Projects and Onshore Construction subcontracts.
- The Subcontracts Specialist will work on their own initiative dealing directly with the Clients and all key business stakeholders, to strategize, tender negotiate, execute, and manage the required subcontracts in line with company best practice.
- The Subcontracts Specialist will be required to work with the technical and functional engineers and key stakeholders to develop subcontract templates based on the company subcontract conditions of contract for use on O&M assets.
- The Subcontracts Specialist will also provide support to the procurement teams in all contractual issues raised through the normal supply chain activities.
- Development of subcontracts strategy papers.
- Support asset transitions, including strategy development and negotiation of back-to-back subcontracts in the transition timeframe.
- As the Subcontracts Specialist, you will develop the subcontracts asset plan, ensuring that is it delivered, and any tendering activity as required.
- Prepare, draft, issue and manage Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, including management of the clarification process, expediting responses, preparing formal commercial evaluation of bids and recommendation to award.
- Prepare, issue & negotiate approved contracts and contract amendments to selected subcontractors.
- Maintain and log all contract change authorizations and amendments.
- Where appropriate, liaise with Client and Asset Solutions stakeholders in the UK for legal, tax insurance and compliance to obtain their input into subcontracts.
- Negotiate contract terms with suppliers in line with company
- Best Practice and prepare justification for any significant exceptions for senior management approval.
- Ensure any agreed contractual position is approved in line with the Delegation of Authority Matrix.
- Where appropriate, ensure that the contract terms are drafted to ensure full back-to-back coverage.

- Support operations managers, project Managers, technical authorities, and contract sponsors in presenting the subcontractors' position to suppliers and advise on their sub contractual rights and obligations.
- Develop of standard ITT and contract templates for differing categories of activities.
- Lead and promote a performance culture, including focus on performance and value creation.
- As the Subcontracts Specialist, you will assist in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
