Your role as Membership Development Lead is to co-ordinate and drive membership retention and growth. You will synthesise knowledge and insight on RCOT membership, from their data and activities to ensure that they provide a compelling membership offer thatmeets the needs of their members.

**Description**
- This role takes full ownership of the success of the membership offering, making sure the member offer contains the right products and services based on insight from engagement with members
- Critically analyse their membership offer and services to identify opportunities to enhance membership value and increase their service offering.
- Work with the Head of Member Insights and Engagement to develop Member Growth and Retention strategies and take responsibility for turning these into detailed integrated plans with clear targeting, success measures, data capture and analysis and audiencesegmentations
- Work across teams within RCOT to identify and map every opportunity to promote and grow membership
- Be responsible for data capture and analysis for all things related to membership
- Collaborate closely with the data analytics team in Strategy, Technology and Transformation to form coherent strategies to respond to membership data
- Works with the CRM team to produce meaningful data on their members
- Utilises intelligence from the insights team, to identify and lead on initiatives to promote membership, e.g. to communities currently under-represented within membership
- Lead in horizon scanning for member trends impacting on membership, maintaining awareness of the external environment, e.g., trends impacting on churn, competitors or collaborative opportunities
- Monitors and regularly reports on data related to membership growth, resignations, identifying opportunities and risks
- Actively identify new opportunities to engage and recruit new members
- Improve membership retention through improved communication of their membership offer and support available
- Oversee the development and delivery of effective member welcome activity for new members
- Working with member insights colleagues to seek opportunities to continually improve and develop a compelling membership
- Work with the Brand and Marketing team to enhance the member journey and touchpoints
- Supporting Head of Engagement & Insight to conduct membership reviews, pulse surveys
- Responsible for development and running member surveys, analysis, utilisation and dissemination of intelligence gathered.
- Working with the Membership Engagement team in the analysis of member insights and feedback to understand what members value to create a compelling member offer

**Profile**

Extensive experience in membership recruitment and retention within membership organisations and professional associations.

Enthusiastic about all things related to CRM, have the ability to analyse data and be highly developed in written and verbal communication skills that include presentation and report-writing skills

Demonstrable project management experience in similar environment

Solutions-driven and practical ability to create or adapt commercial strategies to suit the situation

Able to manage complex project and drive operational plans with multiple stakeholders from start to finish

Ability to work as part of a team and to collaborate effectively to provide matrix leadership and thought leadership

Confident and proficient in using digital technologies to work collaboratively and productively in a hybrid working model, championing and promoting new ways of working

Highly developed and confident interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels and provide advice and guidance to senior leaders

Have an enthusiasm to live and model the RCOT values across all areas of work

Possess a demonstrable passion for embedding environmental sustainability principles across all areas of work including equity, diversity and belonging

High levels of self-motivation, enthusiasm and passion for the professional field you represent
