**P**E**/**Sport** Coach **and **Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships**

Our hugely passionate team, work in collaboration with local schools’ other education-based organisations to deliver unique apprenticeship experiences.

We are looking for aspiring Physical Education Teachers/Coaches and Teaching assistants to join our PE, Sport, and Education apprenticeships.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and learn the skills required to work with children by shadowing and supporting. Enhancing your sport delivery techniques and knowledge. You will also have the chance to share your own ideas and creativity to enrich the PE and Sport offering.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Work alongside teachers and coaches to deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging PE lessons, supervising, and supporting children to keep them safe and facilitate their physical and emotional development
- Assisting the teacher with the planning and execution of learning activities both in and out of the classroom
- Providing support for student’s social needs by encouraging and modelling positive behaviour
- Work with teachers to help students gain the highest level they can by monitoring individual progress, achievements, and development.
- Support in the delivering of extra-curricular activities and clubs
- Liaise with teachers and parents to build a positive rapport

**Programme delivery**

Our apprenticeships vary in level, content and duration and we tailor these to each applicant and their differing needs.

Upon successful placement with an employer, we offer guidance on the most suitable apprenticeship for you:

- Level 2 Community Activator Coach
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant with PE focus
- Level 4 School Sport Coach

**Career Options**
- Successful apprentices will be able to move into higher apprenticeships/university or move into work within PE, coaching in schools/community setting or a Teaching Assistant/teaching pathway

**Entry Requirements**
- Level 3: Grade 4 or above in Maths and English is essential. Experience volunteering or completing work experience within a school will be very desirable.
- Level 4 only: Grade 4 or above in Maths and English is essential. Previous sport/teaching assistant/childcare qualification is essential. You will need to have completed a substantial amount of time working or volunteering with children within a sport role (at least 6 months. You will need to be a leader in the area, with previous skills and knowledge to be able to confidently join the L4 course.

**Salary**: minimum £6.40 per hour
