About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a sporting background and experience working with young people in KS3 and KS4? Long Term Futures is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant, large secondary school in Hackney. The school is looking for a proactive and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in a mainstream environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure students with SEN have the tailored support they need to thrive in their learning and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, ensuring they engage effectively with the curriculum
Use your sporting background to inspire and motivate students, promoting physical activity and teamwork
Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual student needs
Assist with behaviour management strategies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events, supporting the broader school communityAbout the School:

Experience working with SEN students in a secondary school or similar setting
A sporting background with the ability to motivate and engage students through physical activity
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with additional needs, and strategies to support them
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A proactive, adaptable, and compassionate approach to working with young people
Knowledge of safeguarding practices and behaviour management strategiesAdditional Details:

Full-time role, Monday to Friday
Paid £95 - £105 per day, term time only
Based in Hackney, London
