This position will be working across the Anglian Water Region, covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Norwich, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire & Ruthamford.

An exciting new position has been created within the Asset Health team to specialise in the care of the businesses raw water and potable pumping assets. Although this role reports into the Asset Health team there is a direct link to the Water Resources team as raw water asset performance directly impact upon our ability to abstract and maintain our precious water resource.

This business critical role is responsible for the optimum operation and maintenance of upstream assets whilst sustaining their long term health. Critical to this role will be to ensure our asset data on critical raw and potable assets is reviewed and updated; with asset criticality assessments carried out to identify single point failures across the business. The role will provide technical advice on the development, operation, maintenance and management of surface water assets, raw water assets, which includes raw water mains, strategic valves and associated assets such as surge protection.

The role will also lead the strategy for raw water losses and supply side losses; working with the established Asset Health team to continue this work through AMP7 and into AMP8. Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) is a strategy we are developing with the Optimisation team to obtain real time data on the performance of our strategic assets and this role will develop strategies to select assets suitable for CBM, use the CBM data to prevent breakdown and extend asset reliability and inform our maintenance strategy.

As we look towards PR24 and AMP8 this role will need to work closely with ADP to identify and implement investment in the short, medium and long term to main security of supply.

To enable implementation of the above strategies this role will need great collaboration skills to work across the business on the supply sites, within the Asset Health, Optimisation and Water Resources teams to both delivery strategies on the ground, improve our asset understanding and maintenance and look towards future AMP's.

Strong focus on Health & Safety

Effectively manage key stakeholders (internally and externally)

Prepare high quality technical written reports

Ability to work flexibility and respond to operational issues

Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders

Engineering experience and knowledge

Operational and technical experience with large pumping assets and water mains

Project Management Skills

Health and Safety experience and qualification (e.g. IOSH level)
