Job Description Based in the historic city of York, Dalton Terrace Surgery is an old-established family practice offering a friendly personal service from substantial premises in the heart of the city. Primary Objective of the role of Finance Assistant Operating as part of our Administration team to provide support to the Practice Manager in managing and coordinating the practice finances, to achieve optimal efficiency and financial performance Description of the role Part time role -16 hours per week Salary dependent on experience. Processing of all documentation associated with the practice financial accounts Input to the practice accounting system (Sage 50) Review income & expenditure statements, identifying any inaccuracies and rectifying. Recording of cash & cheque receipts Making payments from the practice bank account within agreed timescales Bank account reconciliation Production of financial reports Processing Monthly Payroll for 30+ staff & Partners.
Accurately recording overtime & ensuring it is paid promptly. Prepare monthly journals for practice rental income, GMS statement & Payroll. Regularly raising invoices for income due to the practice. Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager.
