The team
The team provides a comprehensive and first class contracts and rights management service for the Media & Entertainment division.
The role
Contract management: Responsible for the end-to-end process from internal sign-off, preparing initial drafts of documents (including contracts), following precedents and templates and issuing signature copies of contracts and arranging for prompt signature (internal & external). To cover a wide range of programme related deals including, but not limited to, Development, Commissioning and Acquisition agreements. Manage all contract requests and enquiries with a customer service led approach, adhering to agreed SLAs for responses and resolutions and measure own performance against KPIs.
Administration and data management: Perform necessary department administration relating to contracts and legal documentation. This includes the identification of documentation and the archiving of draft and final legal documentation to ensure easy access for relevant interested parties. Ensure all contracts and rights data integrity is held to a consistently high standard and is clearly recorded and maintained in ITV’s contracts and rights management systems.
Rights management: To act as a point of contact for all aspects of rights and contract queries (internal & external), such as copyright clearance, underlying rights queries, industry and regulatory legislation, terms of trade, talent union and music agreements. Manage all rights requests and enquiries with a customer service led approach, adhering to agreed SLAs for responses and resolutions and measure own performance against KPIs. Provide visibility of rights availability across the Media & Entertainment division and to foresee any potential issues and proactively work to resolve them.
External relationships: To act as a point of contact and maintain excellent relationships with all external suppliers (particularly producers), including dealing with all routine queries effectively and efficiently. Liaising with external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of contractual paperwork.
Internal ITV relationships: To build and maintain effective working relationships within the Media & Entertainment division across Commissioning, Finance, Regulatory, Scheduling, Technology and Operations and to establish good working relationships across the wider ITV Group.
Systems: To be a Super User of ITV’s contracts and rights management systems, DocMoto, Adobe eSign, Genersys, PARIS & Rome and to play an active role in the transformation of these systems.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Contracts and data management experience; preferably in a media and/or legal environment - either in-house or private practice.
- Proven drafting ability and excellent attention to detail
- Strong and effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to build successful working relationships at all levels is a must
