**Stationhouse** **Day Nursery & Pre School **are looking for a Baby Room Leader to join their team. Our nursery has a warm, welcoming and family feel which makes it a wonderful place for children (and adults) to grow, learn and play. We are looking a passionate and inspiring room leader for our beautiful 9 place baby room.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- To be an inspirational and motivating leader for your team based on their individual interests and learning styles. Creating a nurturing environment for all the team ensuring that people feel valued and equipped to be outstanding practitioners for our youngest children.
- To take a lead role in the planning and implementation of a stimulating and enabling curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and taking full account of children’s interests and fascinations
- To ensure children are provided with age appropriate opportunities to reach their full potential; develop and make good progress across all areas of learning via an appropriate level of support, challenge and encouragement.
- Build trusting and genuine professional relationships with our parents and work together to ensure children’s needs are met. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
- Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

**Requirements and skills**:

- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - essential
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - essential
- Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - desirable
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - desirable

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bristol, BS20 7BZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
