**Role: Business Manager - Head of Insurance**
**Location: Manchester (M1) / Hybrid**
**Salary: Competitive plus bonus plus benefits**
We are recruiting for an established overseas Insurance business.
With an office in London with circa 200 people, we are now looking to grow the Manchester business.
With a small team in Manchester already starting to service the North West, we are looking for a Business Manager to have complete oversight of the region and its growth.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Representing the company across the region. Working closely with brokers and end clients.
- Business Development - Help grow new market across the region. Help recruit future talent.
- Broker Management - Manage and recruit new brokers, introducers, and cover-holders.
- Office Management - Ensure high quality underwriting. Delivery of a best-in-class customer journey.
**Requirements**:
- Extensive management, business development and commercial underwriting experience.
- Ability to drive income, business growth and broker penetration to achieve business targets set.
- Ability to lead strategy on trading and business development activities.
- Good knowledge of general insurance, underwriting procedures and insurance legislations and GDPR.
- Understanding of financial statement and ratios with good accounting and statistical skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills and customer engagement skills.
- Excellent organisation and co-ordination skills.
- Degree level education.
