**Purpose of the role**:
Colas are responsible for the eight-year Maintenance & Response contract for National Highways Area 9. The contract covers around 2,300 miles of Strategic Road Network within Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, and Shropshire, as well as parts of Gloucestershire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire. We deliver cyclical maintenance, reactive maintenance, incident response, severe weather response and minor works in a region that has five strategically critical motorway interchange junctions, as well as being at the heart of the new HS2 network. Area 9 is a critical transport hub enabling customer journeys across the UK.

**We have an exciting opportunity for two Business Administrator Apprentices to join our Area 9 team at Colas Ltd based at our Bescot Depot, WS1 4NL. This role is a 24 month contract and is for the purpose of teaching you the occupation of a Business Administrator. You will also get the chance to gain a Business Admin qualification whilst in this role.**

**Main Responsibilities**:
As a Business Admin Apprentice you will provide administrative support to the team. Some of the main responsibilities for this role are: You will keep well-organised files and records of business activity, you will keep computer databases up to date, you will be required to interact with clients either on the phone or in person, you will take phone messages and pass them on to the relevant person. You will prepare documents by printing, copying and binding, you will be responsible for ordering from suppliers and preparing meeting rooms by setting up chairs and getting refreshments. To carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by the line manager. To ensure that all operations carried out within our area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for the safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.
