Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Apprentice Family Practitioner to join our team at our Great Wyrley practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our practice.

Main Duties:

  • Face-to-face appointments with patients
  • Telephone consultations to provide advice and support
  • Participate in AM and PM clinics, including pre-booked and on-the-day appointments
  • Contribute to on-call sessions, pro rata share dependent on sessions worked
  • Participate in home visits, split between available clinicians
About Our Practice

We are a well-established practice with a patient base of 5,300. Our team consists of two GP partners, a paramedic, HCA, and practice nurse. We are part of a PCN that provides mental health services, physiotherapy, dietetics, care coordination, and social prescribing.

Practice Facilities:

  • On-site minor surgery and joint injections
  • Contraception services
  • Workflow management system to assist with GP admin workload reduction
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • MRCGP qualification
  • CCT qualification
  • Valid GMC registration
Experience

Prior GP experience is preferred, but not essential.
