**Summary**

We have a brand-new role for a Business Intelligence Leader for a company who are looking to grow their tech and data hub within Manchester. They have a brand-new office which they are looking to scale quickly with the addition of around 60, this process has already begun, and new employees have already joined and been onboarded. This office will support their other offices in the UK and abroad is designed to be a centre of excellence within Technology and Data.

This new technology hub is a huge investment for the company, but one they need to make in order to service their ambitious growth plans. The demand for Data & Analytics in the business in growing rapidly and this new hub has been put in place to service this.

This role is working with a large organisation with international operations and is offered on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the office. Their office is in central Manchester, very close to major transport links (train / tram).

**The role**

This role will act as a team lead within the BI Reporting division. The team is currently 2 people and you will have a remit to grow that (estimated 6 total team by mid-2024). The role will involve providing technical leadership and line management of a small team of developers, focused on delivering reporting and analytics solutions across all areas of the organisation.

You will be responsible for supporting the planning and coordination of solution delivery to meet business needs. They are in the process of transitioning their reporting and analytics capabilities to Azure, with reporting more closely embedded in the business.

**Responsibilities**
- Acting as role model and line manager of a team of reporting and analytics developers
- Providing technical guidance and support to the development team as a senior development lead on reporting and analytics solutions
- Rationalising and redeveloping the existing reporting suite in Azure
- Hiring, training and mentoring developers, and ensuring they have appropriate career development
- Identification of impediments and improvements to team processes
- Embedding development standards and best practices into team processes
- Planning, tracking and managing the progress of development activities
- Creating working relationships between team members and stakeholders to ensure that expectations are managed and that teams are aligned
- Working with the business to understand information needs and agree the best way to provide this information through reporting and analytics solutions
- Ensuring that new reporting and analytics solutions are tested and documented
- Keeping abreast of developments and trends in data and reporting technology

**Skills Required**:
The key two things we are looking for here is technical skills in Power BI and Line Management experience.

**Bonus but not essential**
- Cloud (Azure ) or Azure SQL experience.
