**This opening assignment is for 3-6 months** The Coroner Resource Officer is responsible for providing excellent administrative support to meet the requirements of the Inner South London Coroners Court. It is a challenging and varied role, and is best suited to someone who is a good team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be responsible for a variety of duties pertaining to the effective operation of the Coroners Court Key responsibilities:

- Supporting the Coroner as court usher for the efficient day to day operation of the court room for remote, in person and hybrid inquests
- Managing the jury during jury inquests as jury bailiff
- Interrogating IT systems to update and retrieve information
- Operating court audio conferencing equipment

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office at a level to compile; reports (including embedded tables / diagrams), correspondence, presentations, maintaining spreadsheets, meeting arrangements
- Clerical experience
- Experience of composing written materials that meet customers’ needs
- Experience of working on own initiative, organise workloads, determine priorities and meet deadlines
- Literacy skills in order to compile management information, non-standard correspondence, minute and produce accurate records of meetings
- Numeracy skills in order to compile simple statistical and financial information and undertake complex calculations
- Ability to resolve problems creatively, and disseminate information clearly
