**About the Opportunity**

The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).

We are currently seeking a Trainee HSE Advisor to join our team at Sellafield site.

**Key responsibilities/project activities/deliverables of the role**:

- Ensure with project site management and supervision that all operations and activities are effectively planned and undertaken in compliance with site and project HSE requirements.
- Provide the project team with support and advice on current HSE legislation applicable to the activities.
- Assist project team in undertaking project related risk assessments and preparation of safe systems of work in line with project specifics procedures and arrangements.
- Effectively carry our active monitoring, recording and reporting of our own and subcontractor HSE performance and workplace conditions
- Support investigations into accidents, incidents and near miss events in accordance with project standards to identify and share lessons learned.
- Deliver effective HSE inductions and relevant HSE training is undertaken and records maintained in a retrievable manner.
- Support near miss and implement observation reporting
- Ensure all enquiries from the project team and HSE function are dealt with accurately and promptly.
- Support delivery of suitable safety training programme for all project personnel (including routine project inductions, toolbox talks and topic specific presentations).

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- NEBOSH
- Experience in a role with safety responsibilities on large multi-disciplines construction/commissioning projects
- Good communication skills
