Marketing Advisor, Convenience

**About The Role**:
The Marketing Advisor will work within the Convenience & Wholesale Team within our wider Instore Communications Team.
You will become the expert within your team for the convenience store environment, understanding key communications challenges and customer requirements in order to deliver effective marketing support to solve business problems and drive sales.
You will also need the ability to react to the market quickly, prioritising your workload, ensuring we always put our best foot forward.
This is a full time, permanent position which follows a hybrid model with a 4.5 day working
week*.
Our teams work from our vibrant head office in Bradford for three days and remotely for a day and a half, Monday to Friday.
Hilmore House, our head office, offers convenient amenities, including a subsidised on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, a prayer room, free parking, and frequent company wide events and promotions.
Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of our office.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Working with your marketing colleagues, retail operations, trading planning and Media Centre team plus other key stakeholders to ensure that the retail marketing plan is fully supported and activated in store, whilst balancing the need to safeguard
the customer shopping experience.
- Creating clear communications for stores on our point of sale, working closely with retail and our Trade Planning team allowing best in class implementation.
- Managing & maintaining our store database, driving forward and improving our understanding of the space across our entire convenience store estate to better inform point of sale allocations, reducing wasted effort at store and cost wherever
possible.
- Working with agency partners and print suppliers to deliver clear, actionable briefs, allowing them to deliver work to you which is effective and right first time.
- Being an active participant of a high performing, engaged and diverse team, focused on compelling communication, service, sales and profitability.
- Working with compliance to ensure that all communication is legal, honest and truthful.
- Seeking insight into how customers have experienced the campaign in store and
build into learnings for future events.
- Driving down cost and operational waste to ensure that ROI is maximised and savings found where possible -sending to print on time and without errors - challenging costs.
- Working in a highly organised manner, managing your busy workload, prioritising what is most important for the business.
