**Moishe (**pronounced moy-shuh) **House** is what being Jewish in your 20s is all about. Launched in 2006 when four friends began hosting Shabbat dinners in their home, Moishe House provides a space for over 70,000 young adults around the world to create meaningful, welcoming Jewish communities for themselves and their peers each year. To date, there are more than 150 communities in over 40 countries, and we’re still growing

Moishe House seeks a **part-time** **Global Jewish** Educator **contractor **to serve and empower our Community Builders in crafting their own Jewish learning programs.

- **T**eaching** basic **and advanced **Jewish ideas and texts**, while making every learner feel valued and respected.
- **Mentoring** **and supporting **all new **and current **residents on their Jewish journeys**,** particularly within their first three months and within their last two months in their role.
- **Leading others through your creativity and ability to **develop many ways of bringing Judaism and its traditions to life **for our constituents who come from diverse backgrounds, wherever they fall on a spectrum of Jewish observance and knowledge.
- Depending on availability of program funding, **i**nitiating** significant visits with at least 6-8 Houses in the region during the calendar year**, including participating in a house meeting, leading a Jewish learning session with Residents, attending or helping plan a program, and meeting one-on-one with Residents.
- You’re **excited about traveling **frequently** **(approximately 1 time per month) to Moishe Houses in Europe, our International Moishe House annual Resident conference, and Jewish learning retreats in Europe.
- You may also be asked to teach at other resident conferences, global staff conferences, and Jewish learning retreats
- You have **a graduate degree or formal post-graduate work in Jewish text study**,** such as a master’s degree in Jewish Education or completion of a Rabbinical program, OR you have at least one year of post-undergraduate university Jewish text study, such as a year at Pardes or a rabbinical seminary. Other forms of formal Jewish study, such as or 3+ years of experience working as a full-time Jewish educator on a communal level will be considered.
- You have **full speaking and writing** **proficiency** with English.** Proficiency with **Hebrew**, is a plus Proficiency with **any/all other European languages**, is a plus
- You have significant **experience** teaching basic Jewish ideas and texts**. Proficiency in teaching texts from **Hebrew and/or** **Aramaic **preferred.
- You have a clear understanding of the uniqueness of **Jewish life **across** **Europe** **and you bring extensive experience working with young adult audiences with diverse backgrounds.
- You are excited to be part of an organisation serving the wider Jewish world beyond Europe, and you have some level of experience working with Jewish audiences from other countries. You are equally as excited about tackling big challenges and new projects
