Leeds Castle is a stunning, 900-year-old moated castle, set in 500 acres of Grade II listed parkland, situated in the beautiful Kent countryside. The Castle has been open to the public through the Leeds Castle Foundation since 1974 and continues her story as a glamorous retreat and popular visitor attraction.

PURPOSE *To control, handle and deliver compulrary and mantdatory training, whilst helping staff develop their additional training needs. To support toe HR department with being a core part of the volunteering programme, and administration.

KEY TASKS*

To liaise with Managers and staff to identify and assess training and development needs within Leeds Castle.

To deliver appropriate and thorough induction training at an appropriate level for all new staff and volunteers.

To source and arrange all external training courses ensuring that post training feedback is received to assess effectiveness of training.

To ensure that all Statutory Training is carried out and skills tickets are up to date, liaising with managers to ensure compliance.

To take responsibility for the training budget, ensuring best value is achieved from external training.

To work with the Health & Safety Consultancy to ensure updates and compliance is maintained

To maintain accurate and up to date training records.

To deal with enquiries regarding training and development as required.

To be a named contact for the Apprenticeship programs and liaise with college/s as required.

To onboard and train new volunteers and increase the volunteer programme across departments where possible.

To be the main point of contact for all volunteers and be the source of communication. Including regular meetings to update and liaise with volunteers

Collecting volunteer information and skills and maintaining an up-to-date database., including records of volunteers’ hours.

To maintain consumables supplies, and order and distribute stationery and uniform orders and requests.

To support and contribute with administration tasks within the HR/Payroll department activities, including timesheet input and analysis.

*SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE required*

Experience required in a similar training/L&D role. Minimum of 2 years.

Experience of delivering training and leading on training projects.

Experience of delivering employee inductions.

Experience of writing training material.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workloads.

Excellent Microsoft and IT skills.

Strong team player.

Knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Adaptable to surroundings.
