Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity is available within the Cyber Security team for a Cyber Security Compliance Officer based in Exeter.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Compliance Manager you will assist in all matters relating to NGED’s compliance with its regulatory requirements and maturity of its cyber security posture.

Main Responsibilities
- Working with NGED Cyber Security, Procurement and third parties to assess the compliance of third parties to NGED security policies and contractual obligations on matters of cyber security.
- Working with teams across the Business to assess NGED’s compliance with its own security policies and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Working within the Cyber Security team, assisting the Cybersecurity Compliance Manager in all matters relating to NGED’s work program for the NIS Regulations. This includes liaising with stakeholders on the progress of tasks, actions and other work programs across the Business aimed at increasing NGED’s cyber security maturity.
- Assist in highlighting bottlenecks and early identification of project hold-ups that could affect agreed deadlines and the updating of documentation to reflect progress.
- Assist in the development and collection of Cyber Security compliance metrics/KPIs
- Have an understanding of NGED’s business needs and company objectives
- Other Cyber Security duties and support as required

You will have good knowledge of Cyber Security risk and compliance frameworks such as the NIS Regulations, Smart Energy Code and NIST. In addition you will have a willingness to gain a thorough understanding of NGED’s policies and support the tracking and measuring of internal and external compliance to these policies. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and be able to discuss with senior management matters arising from policy compliance meetings as well as:

- Knowledge of Cyber Security controls
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good planning and time management
- Strong organisational and documentation skills

Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you held the following skills:

- Technical IT experience
- Experience of tracking work programs, projects and timelines
- Any Cyber Security or risk, audit and compliance qualifications and training
- you have been serving overseas with HM Forces or in some other official capacity as a representative of HM Government
- you were studying abroad
- you were living overseas with parents
