About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Cyber Security Risk Manager to join our team at the Met Office. As a Cyber Security Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying, understanding, and mitigating cyber-related risks across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Autonomously undertake cyber risk management activities for projects, services, and third-party suppliers.
  • Lead the evaluation of business-supporting cyber security needs, undertake cyber security related risk assessments, conduct threat modeling, and ensure activities are consistent with applicable regulations and legislation.
  • Provide advice to a range of stakeholders on how to remedy identified risks by proportionately applying security capabilities, using published guidance, standards, and drawing on a range of experts as well as personal expertise.
  • Provide expert cyber security advice that highlights cyber security related risks, so service owners can make well-informed, and auditable decisions.
Requirements
  • Expert by nature - Demonstrable experience in the application of cyber security risk management to enable appropriate and secure business outcomes.
  • Keep evolving - You keep abreast of cyber security developments and can apply your gained knowledge to new or existing problems.
  • Better together - Evidence of developing effective relationships to support security outcomes across a wide range of stakeholders.
