**This is a 6 month Fixed Term role.**

**As an Asset Surveyor, a typical day might include**:

- Assisting the Asset Investment Manager with the management of specialist damp, mould and condensation issues
- Contributing to the delivery of planned and cyclical improvement programmes, as informed by stock condition data, site visits and customer feedback.
- Liaising with the Marketing team to review, update and help to promote a range of customer information options to ensure tenants are aware of how to report and manage damp, mould and condensation issues.
- Monitoring and supporting proactive and reactive damp and mould interventions through the provision of professional technical services and close working with customers and partners to ensure that asset investment programmes contribute to the effective implementation of the objectives outlined in the corporate Damp & Mould Policy.
- Developing effective working relationships with the in-house repairs and maintenance and Neighbourhoods teams to ensure services are scheduled as efficiently as possible.
- Monitoring the day-to-day operation of damp and mould works, working closely with the contractor to ensure the effective delivery of the programme.
- Dealing with and resolving customer, stakeholder and external agencies issues, queries and complaints in line with our policies.
- Working with contractors, suppliers, stakeholders and partners to ensure targets are met and corrective action is taken to address underperformance.
- Supporting the Asset Investment Manager where required, including but not limited to the development and implementation of strategies, plans, policies, procedures, legislative, statutory and regulatory asset management policies.
- Supporting the Asset Investment Manager to manage and monitor financial and operational performance by providing weekly and monthly analysis and KPI’s and producing information reports on performance for the service.
- Actively researching and keeping up to date knowledge of new technologies, design and specifications, best practice, value for money and legislation for all relevant asset management areas.

**What we need from our Asset Surveyors**:

- Relevant experience in the construction industry in a contracting or social housing maintenance environment either with a contactor or a registered provider.
- Awareness of key landlord safety and compliance issues
- Working knowledge and use of IT software packages, job allocation/purchase order systems preferably in a construction, social housing or property related sector/business.
- Resilience. Working in social housing is a challenging but rewarding career. You’ll be helping to bring real change to our customers’ lives.
