**Who are Acis?**

This is through Riverside Training, our employment and skills team, and CLIP, an education provider.

This role is all about actively dealing with and responding to any queries, complaints, and claims relevant to asset delivery-based services and liaising with legal representatives and insurance advisors. You’ll also provide technical advice to the organisation, employees and external partners and agencies.

**As an Assets Surveyor, a typical day might include**:

- Ensuring that all Capital and planned maintenance works are delivered within agreed budget, timescale and quality standards.
- Monitoring and supporting proactive and reactive damp and mould interventions through the provision of professional technical services and close working with customers and partners to ensure that asset investment programmes contribute to the effective implementation of the objectives outlined in the corporate Damp & Mould Policy.
- Developing effective working relationships with the in-house repairs and maintenance and Neighbourhoods teams to ensure services are scheduled as efficiently as possible.
- Monitoring the day-to-day operation of damp and mould works, working closely with the contractor to ensure the effective delivery of the programme.
- Providing technical and general advice to all stakeholders, both internally and externally and representing the team at working groups and meetings.
- Ensuring organisational systems are updated with accurate and quality-based data in a timely manner.
- Undertaking site visits to premises across the organisation’s geographical areas to resolve issues with contractors or others affecting performance.
- Dealing with and resolving customer, stakeholder and external agencies issues, queries, and complaints in line with our policies.
- Working with contractors, suppliers, stakeholders, and partners to ensure targets are met and corrective action is taken to address underperformance.
- Supporting the Asset Investment Manager in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, policies, procedures, legislative, statutory and regulatory asset management policies.
- Supporting the Asset Investment Manager in ensuring that effective performance, financial and monitoring systems are in place and adhered to; to ensure the capacity to deliver services, including robust audit trails.
- Supporting the Asset Investment Manager in the procurement of contracts with suppliers/ contractors to deliver compliant and professional services.
- Ensuring the highest standard of customer excellence by taking responsibility for team behaviours and performance. Implementing and embedding new working practices that enhance the services and the customer experience.
- Preparing documentation, tenders, specifications, descriptions of work, drawings, estimates, costs, schedules etc. as required to ensure that works are carried out correctly and in timescale.
- Checking and certifying all documentation including interim and final accounts as appropriate.
- Assisting with the management and resolution of insurance and disrepair claims.
- Supporting the Asset Investment Manager to manage and monitor financial and operational performance by providing weekly and monthly analysis and KPI’s and producing information reports on performance for the service.
- Actively researching and keeping up to date knowledge of new technologies, design and specifications, best practice, value for money and legislation for all relevant asset management areas.

**The must haves**:

- HNC or equivalent or relevant experience within the construction industry.
- Current full UK driving licence.
- Experience of successfully managing budgets.
- A working knowledge of contract or project management and standard contract types.
- Experience of using standard forms of contracts.
- Experience of successfully managing contractors.
- Experience of producing tenders, specification, schedule of works and estimates.
- An understanding of practical Health & Safety practices and evidence of delivering accident-free environments
- The ability to plan and procure works as and when required to deliver organisational targets whilst ensuring a commercial awareness so as to maximise efficiency and value for money.
