People and Talent Executive

A well-established, multi-service law firm is looking for a People and Talent Executive to join their HR Team. Responsible for the development and implementation of people related initiatives, policies and procedures, the Team supports Partners in the peoplemanagement of their departments including recruitment, retention, performance management and in the delivery of learning and development opportunities.
This is a busy hands-on generalist role supporting 165 people across three offices. The role is varied and requires the ability to ensure routine responsibilities are managed alongside delivering project-based initiatives which ensure the Firm keeps itsprominent position as an Employer of Choice for those seeking to work in a highly reputable law firm.
**Hybrid working policy (2 days WFH)** They have three offices: Luton, Harpenden and St. Albans.

**Key responsibilities**:
- Working with the People & Talent Partner in devising and implementing new People related initiatives including learning and development and employee wellbeing
- Ensuring the Firm’s policies and procedures are kept up to date with legislation and fit-for-purpose and reviewed for our annual Lexcel accreditation
- Assisting in the review and improvement of our performance management processes; is confident and capable of carrying out annual performance reviews, investigations for disciplinary/grievances, sickness/absent management
- In charge of support staff recruitment
- Is actively involved in delivering the Firm’s new starter induction programme
- Processing leavers, handles flexible working requests and family leave
- Maintaining up-to-date electronic personnel records for all our people including contractual information and correspondence
**What the employer is looking for**:
- Minimum Level 5 - CIPD qualified
- Circa 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
- Experience of a HR and Payroll database
- Has excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills - is able to effectively manage a number of HR duties and projects at once in a fast-paced working environment. Is unfazed when priorities change.
