The role of the Trainee Health and Safety Advisor will be based at our new office in Stallingborough and will report to the Head of Health, Safety and Facilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Trainee Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll be provided with the training and development to:

- Support the Health and Safety team in delivering a consistent and efficient service across all sites.
- Assist with developing and maintaining myenergi Health and Safety risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain the Health and Safety managements systems in accordance with legal requirements and ISO standards, ensuring continuous improvement is fully embraced.
- Maintain the Contractor Management system, ensuring all contractors and suppliers are compliant with our policy and procedures.
- Support teams with Health and Safety training needs, including the delivery of inductions and in-house training where required.
- Undertake Health and Safety inspections and audits with appropriate guidance and recommendations.
- Ensure that all incidents are fully investigated, and recommended improvements are implemented.
- Participate in regular Health and Safety meetings.
- Instil and foster a strong Health and Safety culture, ensuring that myenergi standards and objectives are achieved.
- Maintain electronic filing systems, ensuring consistency and support.
- Liaise with suppliers and interested parties.
- Maintain a robust and open communication with the myenergi team.
- Monitor Health and Safety compliance and performance and provide advice and support on a range of Health and Safety matters.
- Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant Health and Safety legislation and ACOPs.
- Provide regular information and reports to the Head of HSF on relevant Health and Safety activities.
- Assist with other Health and Safety duties as requested.

**Qualifications and Experience**

Essential:

- Previous Health and Safety experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a dynamic approach.
- Computer literate and comfortable with Microsoft Packages.
- Experience in dealing with customer requests and coping under pressure whilst maintaining focus.
- Previous experience of working in a busy and demanding environment.
- Possesses a positive ethos, be a team player and an integral part of the myenergi team.
- Possess a passion for Health and Safety and lead by example with a hands-on approach.
- Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work on their own initiative and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Desirable:

- Hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or working towards).
- Experience with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety management systems.
- Member of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).
- Experience in undertaking site audits and inspections.
- Experience in developing and reviewing risk assessments and associated documentation.
