**About you**
- Do you have a passion for disability inclusion?
- Do you successfully adapt your communication to meet the needs of others, including when situations may feel challenging?
- Are you able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of duties and processes related to EHCPs from consultation with local authorities, transition to college, inclusive practice, EHCP outcomes and annual reviews through to transition beyond college?
- Are you confident using IT packages and college management information systems, such as EBS, reports, Pastoral, OneDrive and excel?
- Do you have line management experience?

**The role includes**

Your focus area:

- Helping to ensure a smooth transition and learning journey for all our EHCP learners
- Coordinating and chairing EHCP reviews of High Needs learners
- Liaising with relevant local authorities in relation to EHCP consultations

Business support (SEND link to some curriculum areas):

- Having a caseload of approximately 40-50 EHCP learners
- Supporting your linked curriculum areas around inclusive practice for disability, following the social model of disability
- Working closely with curriculum, pastoral and safeguarding professionals
- Writing Learner Inclusion Plans

Line management:

- Line managing approximately 8 Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
- Personal Development Reviews (October)
- Monthly one to ones
- Absence management

Other duties such as:

- Staffing the SEND Drop in e.g., to provide disability related advice and to issue Adjustments Permits
- Attending College Open Evenings to promote our services Working closely with other SEND advisors. Their focus areas are:

- ALS funding and LSA timetables
- Inclusive Teaching, Learning and Assessment
