**Job Summary**

As part of this exciting role you will be delivering the on-site commercial filming, managing client(s) and overseeing their time on site. In addition to this you will produce and manage commercial events and experiences for a variety of audiences, for example lecture series, high-end experiences, and Blavatnik Art, Film and Photography gallery related activities. You will be managing the filming and events including the preparation and logistics, liaising with various stakeholders across the museum, and the coordination of team members who are supporting with delivery.

We estimate that 40% of time is dedicated to management of commercial filming, dependent the level of business.

This role is part of a wider team who together produce live events with an overall objective to generate revenue for IWM. The Commercial Events team work in an agile manner across multiple business streams. The nature of the role is dynamic, both proactive and reactive to realise opportunities for IWM, with support from the wider team.

**Key duties**

You will be expected to work independently as well as across different teams in order to contribute to and deliver the priorities of IWM - using your knowledge, skills, talent and potential to the best of your ability.

You will focus at all times on delivering excellent customer service, ensure value for money at all times while being professional, courteous and demonstrating the behaviours and attributes expected of all IWM employees. You will also adhere to all corporate standards, and use corporate systems as directed to ensure consistency of service, brand and operational standards.

You will be expected to work across departments effectively, working with individuals, partners and where appropriate volunteers.

To identify and implement learning and development needs for both yourself and your team, including volunteers, if appropriate.

**In addition**, your duties will include:

- Managing all commercial filming, including large-scale productions with support from the Commercial Events Manager
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with all Museum stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Oversee all filming and responsible for IWM external stakeholder relationship management of filming, with the support of the Commercial Events Manager, to include attending networking events and proactively seeking commercial filming opportunities.
- Managing commercial events and experiences that generate revenue for IWM against target profit margins.
- Answering enquiries that come into the filming inbox, producing quotes and liaising with clients to ensure their brief is met and that IWM target expectations are exceeded.
- Manage filming and events on site, oversee full production, at times this will include unusual hours.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and Museum staff to ensure events and filming run smoothly.
- Supporting with the marketing of products and experiences to ensure sales are on track against target and that profitability is key in all decision making.
- You will be the first point of contact for event logistics contractors and in managing this liaison you will encourage a co-operative and trusted relationship with the service providers.
- You will be the first point of contact for all stakeholder departments for all matters operational, relating to events. You will take a pivotal role in attending and coordinating operational discussions and decisions.
- Creation of new events and experiences, coming up with new ideas where possible and creating plans, budgets and proposals for review by the Head of Events, Experiences and Catering
- You will produce monthly report(s) as required, under guidance from the Commercial Events Manager.
- You will be the person delivering tours, events and experiences as well as training volunteers and fee paid staff to deliver on the ground products.
- When required, you will be involved with contract management - ensuring that suppliers adhere to agreed plans which are set out in the contract.
- You will support the Commercial Events Manager to identify innovation and improvements to events, working with contractor(s) and other stakeholders to ensure efficiencies (quality, financial, managerial and protective) are identified, developed and implemented.
- Assist the Commercial Events Manager and Head of Commercial Services in the long term strategy planning around events and filming.
- Effectively supervise all staff, volunteers and contractors during events, feeding back to relevant members of senior management when required.
