THE ROLE:
This role could be a great opportunity for an HRBP ready to move into a stand-alone HR position responsible for HR. Or experienced HRM who is seeking a stand-alone HR position in a manufacturing environment.

The role covers:

- Building site credibility and developing strong working relationships with key operational site stakeholders

Advising and supporting operational Supervisors and Managers on all ER matters, being able to note take in disciplinaries and also prepared to lead in some instances

Supporting and leading on investigations and disciplinary matters

Keeping UpToDate with all employment law changes and making any necessary key changes to polices required to keep the company compliant at all times

Updating employee files and HR system/database

Management of the recruitment process / dealing with agencies etc

Processing new starters, leavers, completing right to work checks, creating offer letters, contracts, new starter packs etc

Producing monthly KPI/s

THE CANDIDATE:
CIPD 5 - or working towards

Excellent communication skills at all levels

Good business acumen and can show a real interest in the different site duties and business process that staff undertake

Excellent employment law knowledge (up-to-date) and confident dealing with all ER issues

Previous experience writing policies, working closely with operational Managers supporting on "all things HR"

Capable of working in a supportive HR role in a standalone position

Must be able to use own initiative and have good common sense

Ability to be credible working alongside an established site operational leadership team - capable of "thinking on their feet", bringing solutions to site problems, credible in their role of HR

Strong verbal and written skills

Attention to detail is essential and good organisational skills

Someone who is prepared to complete all tasks necessary to get the job done and who can quickly get credibility and respect across the business

A strong communicator - capable of giving clear guidelines

Solutions focused individual, professional and diplomatic

Previous experience working with blue/white collar environments is ideal

Excellent IT skills (Microsoft packages)
