Alongside various local sports groups offering a range of sports and events, the centre offers a growing range of community services aimed at addressing physical and mental wellbeing. Easterhouse Sport Centre offers 2 full size sports halls, a dojo for martial arts, multi-purpose room and 2 meeting rooms. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Leisure Centre Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our facilities and providing excellent customer service.

**Job type**: Part time - 21 hours per week. Additional hours may be available.

**Shift pattern**: 1 weekend shift per week required plus 2 additional shifts. Evening availability required up till 10pm.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the leisure centre, ensuring they adhere to health and safety regulations, cleaning standards, and security protocols.
- Supervising and motivating staff, providing training and guidance, and managing their schedules and workload.
- Responding to customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment and facilities, reporting any issues and coordinating repairs as needed.
- Implementing and enforcing safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and responding to emergencies effectively.
- Collecting and recording data on centre usage, performance indicators, and customer feedback.
- Contributing to the development and promotion of new activities and events within the centre.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing administrative tasks as required.
- Deputising for the Leisure Centre Manager in their absence.

**Additional responsibilities**
- Cleaning the building and setting up equipment as and when required.
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly safety checks.
- Taking long-term and pay per visit bookings along with general reception and admin duties.
- Opening and closing the building as a keyholder.
- Giving first aid when required
- Cash and payment processing
- Any other reasonable duties

**Skills and experience**:

- Experience in a supervisory role, ideally within the leisure industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
- A valid First Aid certificate is desirable.
- Group fitness or sports coaching qualifications and experience may be advantageous.
