Activities Coordinator

We are recruting for an experienced activities coordinator for a lovely care home in Littlehampton
**Main Responsibilities**
- Plan, develop and implement a programme of stimulating activities that meet the needs of residents so that they are enabled to lead as full a life as possible.
- Work closely with the Home Manager, and Engagement & Wellbeing Assistants to plan and produce a weekly activities schedule that is delivered in both small groups, and one-to-one sessions.
- Co-ordinate and support volunteers, placement students, entertainment, and visiting artists/other projects to enhance the activities provision within the home.
- Organize and lead recreational outings for residents to support social and cultural engagement in the wider community.
- Maintain the activities records of groups and individuals (including photographs) daily on the care planning system ensuring entries record engagement of individual residents.
- Use digital systems such as MS Office, social media, to communicate, publicise and promote the home.
**Requirements**:
A good level of secondary education
Relevant qualification within social care
Experience of working with older people with varying abilities and needs
Experience of working and supporting people living with dementia
Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Demonstrates an understanding of the differing needs of residents including Physical Disability, Living with Dementia, Mental Health, and End of Life.
