As Quality Assurance Officer you will have a wide range of duties and tasks. There’s more about these later.

**Where?**

You will be based at one of our area offices in Heywood, Stockport, Wigan or Widnes although you will be required to travel regularly to our other locations as required. We love having everyone together in our offices, however we are happy for people to occasionally work from home if you would like to. We are very flexible and the specific days, hours and place of work can be discussed at interview and we can look at what works best for you and the organisation.

**Rewards**

The starting salary for the Quality Assurance Officer is £28,087 per annum. We will pay up to an additional 4% of your salary into a pension plan for you, which will grow every year until you retire. **Your team**

Your line manager will be the Quality and Compliance Manager. Other members of our fab team include Assistant Director of Quality and Compliance, Digital Content Manager, System Support Officer, Quality Checker and Community Co-Ordinator.

**The hours**

Thirty-seven hours per week.

**The essential purpose of this job**

1. We want to be the best of the best. We are rated by CQC as OUTSTANDING for parts of our service and GOOD for the rest. We want to bring every area of our service up to OUTSTANDING. The Quality Assurance Officer will play a key part in this ambition.

2. We have to deliver on our promises. The Quality Assurance Officer will support managers to provide evidence that we are delivering on quality and identify any actions to maintain and enhance performance.

3. Promote consistency. As the company has expanded it is essential that we ensure that systems and projects are delivered consistently across the organisation. The Quality Assurance Officer will work in all areas and liaise with staff across the business.

4. Involving others. We want to ensure that we are involving users and stakeholders in everything that we do. This includes co-produced projects, using feedback from others and regularly sharing information with others.

**Key Tasks**
- Lead on the collection of feedback about services. Ensure that the voices of individuals who use our services are heard and that all staff and stakeholders have the opportunity to feed back about the service on a regular basis.
- Lead and support on Co-production events. Ensure that individuals have opportunities to be involved. Analyse findings and share information.
- Lead on specific quality projects and action plans, with support from the Systems Support Officer and Quality Checker. Monitor and control performance against plans, reporting as appropriate.
- Ensure that projects are reviewed on a regular and systematic basis with lessons learned captured and ensure that any actions or improvements identified are acted upon. Compile feedback reports for managers, outlining any issues, concerns and actions to be taken.
- Provide line management and mentoring to the Quality Checker role.
- Support the Quality Team with production of performance related data and reports and the production of various newsletters.
- Support the Quality Team and Registered Managers with the evidence recording for Care Quality Commission. Support colleagues to ensure that contract monitoring information is clearly evidenced.
- Work alongside the System Support Officer and Digital Content Manager to improve digital systems (including IPlanit and Gridfox). Provide support and cover for the System Support Officer with the management of IPlanit when required.
- Achieve agreed service outcomes and outputs, and personal appraisal targets, as agreed by the line manager.
- Ensure a high level of confidentiality and data protection is maintained in all aspects of work.
