**Job overview**:
The post holder will work to support the current Service Lead and Band 7 Team Leader to clinically and operationally manage the Wound Care & Lymphoedema Service across the Borough of Bury. The role requires the ability to facilitate and embrace change and be committed to team working. The post holder will also act as a specialist support for the tissue viability element of the service.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Responsible for prioritising and planning own workload on a day to day basis.
- Develop standard processes within the Wound Care & Lymphoedema Service.
- Ensure staff are aware and working within agreed processes.
- Agree objectives reflective of Community Services corporate objectives
- Input/upload data onto the Paris system and maintain up to date records.
- Produce documents using appropriate software, as requested by the manager.
- Develop and maintain effective communication pathways with outside agencies such as Local Authority, Home Office, GPs and CCG.
- Deal with, and respond to, enquiries from a variety of organisations and individuals in a sensitive and confidential manner.
- Arrange and co-ordinate meetings/events as required e.g. training sessions
- Act as specialist support for the tissue viability element of the service.

**_ This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role._**

- Registered Nurse/Adult Branch Current NMC registration Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing (or currently training), or a competency based community development programme at degree level Non Medical Prescribing qualification (V150) V300 Non Medical Prescribing qualification Mentorship qualification

- Tissue viability course
