Shape A Life is supporting a **primary school** in Brentwood, Essex, and we are looking for graduates interested in primary school education or working with children as a career to work as a teaching assistant for the remainder of the academic year.

All you need is a degree, energy, and enthusiasm to inspire and motivate young children across Key Stage 1 and 2.

**Starting ASAP**, this will be a term-time only position, and you will earn **£430 - £450 per week.**

**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- 1:1 and small group pupil support under direct supervision of teaching staff whilst acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
- Supporting independent learning and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Meet the personal care needs of the pupils whilst encouraging independence.
- Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
- Supporting the teacher to plan and develop learning activities.
- Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance and integration of all pupils.

In this rewarding role, you’ll be responsible for providing practical and learning support to their children in Key Stages 1 & 2 under the guidance of the class teachers. The role will be a mixture of 1:1 support and classroom support.

**You will need**:

- Passion & enthusiasm to shape the next generation.
- An interest in primary school education
- **Degree - 2:2 or above**. Any degree
- Good communication skills
- Very good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work as part of a team.
