‘Real’ paid work experience placement for up to 12 months. The Step Up to Work Programme is open people aged 18 plus, who live in East Surrey. You must be currently unemployed for over 3 months and looking to gain essential skills and work experience to enhance your future employment prospects.
**What you’ll achieve in the role**:
At a time when we know our customers are struggling financially, you will play a valuable role in supporting the Income officers with administrative tasks. You will be key in protecting Raven’s income, so we can continue to deliver great services and provide a great customer experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Confirming rent amounts for the Department of work and pensions for Universal credit claims.
- Managing new tenancies and sending texts out where direct debits fail.
- Communication and admin around arrears and recharges.
- Run arrears reports to help the team track progress
- Help keep the team organised by booking appointments and meetings
**What you’ll bring to Raven**:
For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:
- Good admin experience, ideally with a background in Housing Management, Income Collection, Financial Inclusion or similar but not essential.
- Knowledge of Income Collection in social housing and Welfare Reform legislation, particularly around Universal Credit.
- Good communication, organisation, IT (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) and customer service skills.
You will also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively, and caring about making things better.
DBS clearance will be required for this role.
