To do this, we ensure that we achieve excellence throughout our sales operations & distribution in the UK, and deliver on our customer promises.
Overall Purpose of Role
The primary function of this role is to ensure production is optimised at model and end item level to best support Nissan Motor (GB)’s Customer First objectives. Jointly responsible for the creation of production plans by detailed vehicle specification and color, the role requires continuous analysis of sales and order trends and regular liaison with colleagues in Sales, Marketing and at our European headquarters.
The role provides fantastic opportunities to grow skills, business acumen and personal visibility due to the pivotal role supply has in achieving our company objectives, not only in relation to volume and market share but also profit and customer satisfaction. A cross-functional mindset and an open communication style are essential alongside strong organisation and data analysis expertise.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Primary responsibility for submitting detailed monthly production forecasts through the efficient analysis of large volumes of data to underpin business critical decisions, which can be quantified to management as required. Completed in adherence with strict manufacturing deadlines, to maximise the UK inventory for key models.
Effective collaboration within the NMGB Sales Function, Product Marketing and European Planning teams to ensure the on-time fulfilment of customer orders whilst accurately anticipating future demand at end item and colour level.
Confident and effective communication of stock and supply information via written communications, quantitative reports and in person presentations to all stakeholders.
Set up and maintenance of key information in the mainframe system to provide accurate visibility of stock moving through the pipeline to registration. Proactive highlighting of stock risks and opportunities to management and operational teams with proposed strategic actions.
Continuous improvement of Supply Planning team processes and work flows, identifying efficiency opportunities and leading through to implementation.
Supporting the migration of stock and supply reporting and analysis into Tableau, as part of the wider NMGB data transformation project.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a similar Supply Planning role, numerical or analytical role with demonstrative experience in data interpretation alongside data handling
Automotive experience
**Mandatory**: MS office proficient, particularly Excel
**Highly Desirable**: Business Intelligence experience (eg. Tableau, Power BI)
**Desirable**: MS Access experience
