The Head of Markets Technology, Europe & America is critical to making this happen and will be responsible for managing the London and New York based stakeholders, primarily sales and trading. They use our systems in their day-to-day work for pricing, e-trading, deal capture, trade lifecycle, risk management and back-office operations. It’s essential to ensure the business gets the appropriate level of support and deliverables from the global team, and vice versa contribute to development of the global market’s technology platform.

This role will also be responsible for driving a healthy risk culture in the team with strong focus on production stability, IT security and regulatory compliance and will support building partnerships with strategic external suppliers (e.g. Ion and Murex) as well as third parties (e.g. Luxoft) as these are mostly based in Europe.


**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
Providing markets technology business engagement, relationship management and consultancy to the Europe and USA markets business.

Driving customer satisfaction through the delivery of stable and reliable technology services that are aligned with ANZ Markets business requirements.

Implementing effective technology risk management practices to ensure the security, integrity and availability of systems and information leveraged by ANZ Markets.

Providing leadership to the Markets IT team and building management capability to deliver local services, manage outsourced services, and meet annual Technology performance objectives.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive years of experience of industry experience in Financial Markets Technology.

Markets domain knowledge and insights into electronic trading system architectures.

Development of Fixed Income or Foreign Exchange electronic trading systems.

Familiar with leading vendors in the Markets space, e.g., Ion Marketview and Murex

Proven ability to build, develop, and motivate a team of experienced IT professionals in multiple locations

Experience in working across multiple time zones and locations

Demonstrated track record of managing senior business leadership and desk heads.

Agile mindset and a strong desire to deliver on the mission and goals of the Business.

Strategic planning capability
