We’re looking for charismatic Bank Residential Support Workers to join our brand new refurbished 3 bed EBD Children’s Home in Birmingham, Stirchley who are looking for the next step in their career.

**As a Bank Support Worker, your responsibilities will include**:
- Safeguarding children and young people and ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to
- Creating positive relationships with children, giving them unconditional dignity and respect
- Providing physical, emotional, behavioral and cultural support to children
- To be sensitive to the needs of individual young people, taking account of race, language, religion, sexuality and culture
- Undertake direct work/key work sessions with children
- Contribute to the normal development of young people through the provision of a healthy lifestyle, a variety of appropriate activities and a consistent caring adult role model
- Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, cleaning etc.)
- Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping, and complete administrative duties as designated by the Registered manager and/or senior support staff
- Adhere to care plans and assessments agreed with the Manager in their support of the young person.
**Job requirements**:
- Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- A Full Manual UK Driver’s License
- A commitment to personal development
- Experience working with Young People within a residential environment

As a Deputy Manager you will:
- Work closely with & assist the Home Manager to lead a successful team and run the day-to-day operations of the home.
- Supervise and support all staff members.
- Attend reviews & liaise with other professionals as part of the wider team ensuring children achieve their aspirations and full potential.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of placement and risk management plans.
- Support young people in daily activities including family contact, attending local clubs, 1:1 activities in the community, promoting independence and social behaviour.
- Assist the Registered Manager to ensure the safety of all children, young people, and staff - including ensuring that safeguarding practice, procedures, and recording all regulatory requirements and professional expectations.
- Take on senior responsibilities that the Manager deems appropriate (e.g. Health and Safety, Medication, petty cash etc)
Essential Requirements of the Deputy Manager:
- Diploma OR NVQ Level 3/4/5 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- 2 years’ work experience working at Deputy level with young people in a residential environment
- Hands on experience of working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues and complex needs including challenging behaviour.
- Willing to excel and commit to continuous development
As the Deputy Manager **you will earn up to £35,000 per year PLUS a bonus package relating to performance and additional bonus upon receiving a “good” or “outstanding” Ofsted rating. **Other benefits include:
