An exciting opportunity has arisen in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary Outpatient Neuro and Frailty team. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Stroke and Neuro Therapy Team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be based on the Heartlands Hospital site, but will have opportunity to work across sites whilst remaining in a static post. You will be supported to further develop skills in Neurological conditions, falls, frailty and rehabilitation. You will be encouraged to develop ongoing links with Specialist Neurology services in the area as well as external agencies.

We are a large and vibrant Therapy Team providing high quality Inpatient and Outpatient services from our hospital sites. We have a strong emphasis on staff development and learning, with excellent support and a robust supervision structure in place.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
To provide a high standard Physiotherapy service across the Outpatient Neuro, Falls and Frailty service.

To use your specialist technical skills to assist in the assessment and treatment of your own caseload consisting of Neurological patients also with Falls, Frailty elements to the caseload, You will be working alongside specialist therapists who will be able to support your development.

The caseload is varied and will be a variety of settings - Outpatient clinics and community visits.

To support the development of junior therapists and students.

To be actively involved in service development through data capture and audits.

To contribute to seven day working programmes across the organisation

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Diploma / degree in physiotherapy
- Current registration with Health Professions Council.
- A levels or equivalent qualification
- Good standard of general education including GCSE maths and English grade C and above.
- Evidence of CPD including recent post graduate training relevant to clinical speciality.

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Demonstrates comprehensive clinical experience enabling the post holder to manage a caseload of patients with complex needs in this speciality.
- Significant experience of working in an a large complex organisation in a health care environment / acute hospital setting including acute hospital experience in Stroke and Neurology and Health Care of the Older Person
- Evidence of Team /service development
- Supervision of students/assistants/Therapy Support Workers
- A specialist knowledge across a range of physiotherapy practices, routine and nonroutine, requiring expertise within the field of physiotherapy
