**About us**

The UCL Estates Operations team manages a property portfolio of over 645,000m2 of diverse real estate on behalf of UCL, supporting over 48,000 student and nearly 15,000 staff. Managing an in house UCL workforce of 250 staff and a contractor workforce ofover 1,000, the primary function of the division is to provide all Facilities Management services including, cleaning, security and maintenance.

UCL Estates has a 24/7 service through the Direct Labour Operative team to provide around-the-clock cover for maintenance and repairs issues across the whole UCL campus. The DLO team provides a comprehensive on-call service both responding to emergenciesbut also undertaking works where access is a problem during normal hours.

**About the role**

We are recruiting for a Technical Co-ordinator to join our team at the DLO on a permanent basis. The Technical Co-ordinator will manage and coordinate the integrated operational infrastructure of the DLO, through the use of Computer Aided Facilities Management(CAFM) Systems.

Through the use of these CAFM systems, they will also co-ordinate workload for the Maintenance Operations Team. The postholder will assist Supervisors with allocating work based on priority, location, trade speciality, and plan, prioritise and organise thedeployment of staff and other resources to meet changing priorities and workload demands. This role will involve liaising with different teams across UCL, including the Maintenance Operations Supervision team and more.

The Technical Co-ordinator will also participate in the development of, and oversee the implementation and administration of policies, systems, and procedures, and will prepare financial and operational analyses and reports, and audit current proceduresto monitor and improve efficiency of operations.

**About you**

To excel in this role, you must be an excellent communicator with a positive and collegiate attitude, and the ability to develop and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels, support functions and third-party suppliers. Strong administrationskills including reporting, researching, gathering and preparing data for presentations are a necessity.

You should have broad working knowledge gained within a complex academic institution or a similar complex organisation, and previous experience working in a team environment, preferably within craft and mechanical trade.

You will be a results-focused individual, with the ability to work at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
