We're looking for an Office Supervisor for our brand new London Gateway depot. They will lead and motivate a highly skilled team of Container Control Clerks working in a high performance and operationally focused environment. The successful applicant will also work with the Container Depot Manager to ensure cross-functional management of the day-to-day activities.

**Skills and experience you'll bring to us**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in empty container depot or shipping container control operation.
- Maximise Operational efficiency and the elimination of avoidable cost/waste/loss.
- Maximize Depot revenue and business growth from new and existing customer
- Deliver the Medlog Customer Experience and live the brand values
- Improve customer satisfaction through the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Improve the speed, efficiency & accuracy of internal operating processes.
- Develop the individual and collective skills, knowledge, and motivation of the team
- Contribute to a positive work climate through a flexible attitude to work and support for colleagues and other team members.
- Ability to manage an operation within a demanding and changing environment
- Able to work efficiently under pressure and motivate others
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to support, motivate and develop others

**How you will help us and what you can expect**
- Oversee control of access and exit gates, and all container stocks and stock levels within the depot to meet the demands of the business
- Supervise office base staff ensuring a smooth and efficient operation
- Ensure office management of all company health and safety policies
- Complete regular health and safety audits to meet business demands
- Deputize for the Depot Manager
- Accurate & timely preparation of daily/weekly/monthly reports for MSC Medlog Geneva and UK Management
- Ability to build positive operational relationships with both internal and external customers. Being a centralised escalation point for the team and taking ownership of container repair estimates and records
- Provide analysis and high-level summary on operational and financial performance in line with KPI’s.
- Drive and enhance process improvements
- To monitor absenteeism, interview employees on receipt of trigger notices from HR to ascertain if genuine illness and if further action or assistance may be required for their welfare
- Support and lead recruitment activity within the office depot team.
- Ongoing performance Management and Personal Development plans for the team, with regular one to one meeting.
