This is an exiting opportunity for a Ward Receptionist to join a diverse and motivated team that are dedicated to the development of skills and the delivery of high quality safe care. The post is on Ward D57 at the QMC Hospital, we have 30 beds capacity.

As the Ward Receptionist, you will often be the first point of contact for patients and visitors when entering the unit so a friendly welcoming smile and excellent communication skills are essential.

Tasks will include but not be limited to fulfilling all necessary reception, clerical, administrative and general tasks required to facilitate and record patient information using technology systems. Staff are expected to be courteous and considerate at all times and have excellent customer care skills.

We have a team that is both innovative and proactive in ensuring that high quality care is delivered to our patients. We are keen to encourage developments in line with Trust Policy.

Basic computer skills will be needed and an understanding of Microsoft word and excel Basic typing skills is a necessity preferable at RSA level 2. NUH programmes such as Medway, PTS Online and Notis would be an advantage.
