Study Abroad Lead Coordinator

Your contribution to Aston’s mission, exploitable research and employable graduates, will be to support the Careers and Placements Team’s strategic aim of maximising positive graduate destination outcomes for all students with a particular focus on increasing study abroad placement uptake.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our busy, multicultural and friendly team to facilitate increasing numbers of students into study placements overseas, mainly through promoting benefits of international placements and coordinating the Study Abroad process. Reporting to the Placement Preparation Manager, you will have responsibility for day to day supervision of the International Placement Coordinator and the Study Abroad assistant, and play a vital role in increasing outward mobility and study exchanges to ultimately increase the employability of Aston students.
You will also work closely with other internal stakeholders, in addition to Aston’s portfolio of international partner universities, ensuring the effective administration of the Study Abroad process.
Educated to degree level or equivalent with excellent intercultural awareness skills, you will need to enjoy independently and working under pressure, achieving targets and solving problems creatively. With an outgoing personality, you will have experience in supervising and/or coaching colleagues; with a particular emphasis on motivating to achieve high performance standards and building lasting relationships across cultures. It is essential that you demonstrate a flexible and collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment.
