**The role**
You will play a key role in delivering an exciting programme of volunteering activities and initiatives, which builds and strengthens mutually beneficial, lifelong relationships between alumni and supporters, students, and the wider University.
Working with departments across the university, you will develop a regular calendar of volunteering opportunities for alumni and supporters, which directly support University priorities including student recruitment, graduate employability, and student success.
You will be responsible for managing the volunteer journey, ensuring alumni and supporter volunteers feel valued and an essential part of the University community.
This role is based at our Highfield campus, although most of the team work on a hybrid basis so your time can be split between working remotely from home and catching up with colleagues on campus.
**About you**
Your enthusiasm for volunteering and understanding of its value will help build a successful volunteering programme, which gives alumni and supporter volunteers positive experiences.
You will be a team player with outstanding customer service skills, who is comfortable working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.
You will have a passion for innovation and creative thinking and enjoy the opportunity to put your mark on our volunteering communities.
You will proactively build and manage relationships with colleagues across the University, and our community of volunteers around the world.
With strong organisational and administrative skills, you will be experienced in working on projects to tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
