This position is responsible for undertaking practical habitat management and access work to conserve biodiversity and improve access to green spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake site walks to provide a first point of contact for visitors and identify works required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of biodiversity management plans.
  • Work with volunteers, student placements, and community groups to deliver additional resources and create a sense of ownership.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver a comprehensive service covering ecological advice and surveying.
  • This is a 37 hour per week, permanent, full time contract with a salary range of £26,609 - £28,770.

The Southampton Natural Environment Team covers all matters relating to biodiversity conservation and provision of opportunities for people to enjoy the natural environment.
