Big Creative Training is a well-established and expanding creative industry training provider with a long track record of

delivering positive outcomes for learners. Our mission is to improve the lives of young people through high quality training

and creative industry experiences. We have more than 400 young people per year going through our vocational training

programmes including apprenticeships, and they all take qualifications in maths and English. We have great industry links

and work with over 100 creative sector employers and SMEs.

We are looking for an outstanding **SEND Officer **to join our team based in Walthamstow, East London. The successful

level of literacy and numeracy skills and have Maths and English at GCSE grade “C/4” or above.

**Key tasks**
- To gather available SEN records, EHCPs, reports and access arrangements / Form 8s from learners’ previous

educational provision and file appropriately
- Track and monitor intervention
- Deliver preparation for adulthood
- Emergency cover
- Conduct Initial Assessments for EHCP learners
- Attend a minimum of 3 open evenings each year.
- Support with AA preparation/admin - Part 1 of Form 8s, file notes, etc.
- Review ILPs for EHCP learners.
- Conduct peer sharing learning walks
- Sit on the Consultation panel for prospective learners
- Support with funding forms.
- Mentor new learning support tutors or those needing additional support.
- Deliver behaviour intervention where needed - providing staff with strategies. Complete, monitor and update

behavioural support plans.
- Ensure relevant information is shared with tutors regarding learner
