About the role

Here at Zimmer Biomet Bridgend Plant, we are recruiting for a new role within our Supply Chain team. We are looking for an Import and Export Coordinator.

This position works closely with UK Operations, UK Healthcare and GSCC towards achieving delivery performance goals and objectives. The position will interact daily with, customs clearance brokers, shippers & operations team members (internal or external) coordinating the Import & Export, for product being purchased/sold to and from the Bridgend site.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Trade Compliance Checks.
- Process Sales Orders, Vendor Returns, Invoices & Credit Notes
- Intercompany collections with approved couriers.
- Creation of Supplier Customs Clearance Export pre-alert documentation.
- Raise appropriate documentation for Non-Stock orders.
- Update Daily Reports / Shipping log files & Scan documentation to File stream
- Process Engineering / Master data requests & maintain system product blocks.
- Allocate freight invoice payments.
- Review Inbound / Outbound customs broker documentation.
- Issue returns request for product return.

**Expected Areas of Competence**:

- 3 years’ experience in Import and Export control.
- Good understanding of the international shipping process, change due to BREXIT.
- Proficient user of SAP, Microsoft Excel including experience with spreadsheet formulas.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage own time effectively.
- Ability to multi-task, whilst having high attention to detail.
- The ability to manage your own time in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to train new team members.

**Education/Experience Requirements**:

- Knowledge and skills identified are typically acquired by attaining GCSE level education (math’s and English as a minimum), and by working in related areas within a manufacturing environment in the medical device, aerospace or automotive industry for at least 2 years.
- Import Export training.
- Air Cargo.
