**Job Title: Assistant to Claims Director**

**Location: Gloucester**

**Salary: Commensurate with experience plus a good range of benefits**

**Duration: Permanent**

**Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday**

**Key accountabilities**
- Provide administrative support to Claims Director including:

- Managing diary, commitments and travel
- Preparation of reports and presentations
- Compilation of SOAPs
- Produce MI and associated reports for Board and Executive Committees in relation to Claims
- Provide administrative support to Claims leadership team including organising meetings, tracking actions, preparation of presentations and ad-hoc travel
- Organise and minute internal and external meetings for Claims
- Provide administrative and event organisation support for Claims conferences and events
- Maintain overview of spend vs budget, reporting on over/under spends; manage purchase orders and payment requests; manage expense claims for leadership team and manage other regular departmental expenses as required
- Ensure that accurate holiday, sickness and HR information is maintained for Claims leadership team
- Create and amend supplier information within the I+ system
- Ensure business continuity plans are regularly reviewed, up to date and tested
- Maintain departmental documents and Claims teamsite
- Carry out improvement projects as required

**Key Performance Indicators**
- 360 feedback
- Meetings, committees, conferences and events run smoothly and efficiently with positive feedback received from Directors and attendees on quality of service delivered
- Actions arising from meetings and committees are properly communicated to action parties, expedited and appropriately closed down.
- Quality, timeliness and timely follow up of MI, reports and Committee / meeting papers
- Delivery standard to be 100% of pre agreed SLA’s
- Business continuity plans operate effectively when invoked, all contact data is up to date
- Timely and quality execution of deliverables
- Improvements made in operational excellence
- Projects deliver required outcomes and benefits within timescales

**Knowledge, skills and experience**
- Previous relevant experience in an insurance business (preferably claims)
- Appropriate insurance qualification preferential (e.g. Cert CII)
- Basic understanding of claims
- High level of personal organisation and accuracy
- Good communication and influencing skills
- Positive, enthusiastic and pro-active attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Commitment to deliver exceptional customer service contributing both as an individual and as an effective part of a team
- Self-starter, able to manage own workload
- Appropriate IT skills, including powerpoint and excel
