**ROADSIDE RECOVER OPERATOR**

**Reports To : Seb Toon**

**Hours **: Monday to Friday
8.00 am to 6.00 pm

Alternating weekends and evenings on call

**Salary**: £31,200-£36,000 depending on experience plus over time

**OVERVIEW**

TLC Garage Services are looking for a dedicated, polite, professional individual, who is keen to join a well-established business, giving service to many broken down vehicles and customers in Taunton and the surrounding area,

If you have a basic knowledge of mechanics, with an overwhelming sense of pride and desire to offer customers the best possible service you can, in what sometimes can be extremely difficult circumstances for the customers, a position with TLC Garage Services could be just what you are looking for.

We require successful applicants to show excellent customer service skills, whilst working within deadlines and dealing with various different scenarios. You will need to be able to diagnose faults and complete routine vehicle repairs or arrange/carry out recovery if roadside repair is not possible.

**RESPONSABILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Speaking with our customers and stranded motorist to determine what their needs are as well as finding out information such as their location and the vehicle fault
- Dispatching jobs to the correct drivers ensuring their truck has the capacities
- Booking vehicles in and out of storage
- Taking card payments

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Ability to complete motor vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Full UK Driving Licence - minimum of class 2 licence required
- Basic knowledge of mechanics
- Previous experience is desired but not essential
- A keen willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with customers
- Flexible ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to use own initiative and work under minimum supervision
- DBS certified
